yeah, the silicone! damn, well, it is a good thing that my seal was already no good because I had to take a razor blade and score it all the way around the bead on the inside and outside of the bead, then dig it out with a mini-screwdriver. Had my seal been a good one, the razor blade would have ended up cutting it as I scored the bead of silicone. It may be that the only way, once the silicone has been done, is to go ahead and cut it out with the blade knowing you will probably have to replace the seal. That sucks, but it may be the only way unless you are extremely careful and lucky at the same time. Once I did get the silicone off though....the baby just cranked right open.

I think you may be correct about the fact that I have two things working against me: the drains only drain so much and with the seal gone, they can't handle it. I guess my first venture will be to replace that seal and see what happens. Thanks for the help matthew.

Muchas, Dustin

how did you get the silicon off and the sunroof opening? I have an 84 in that posistion. I think the drains are for a little bit of water, and when the seals go, a butt load of water gets in and can't drain fast-enough. matthew
