Humm, thats probably why so many Model'A' Ford's are still around and in good shape(other than the thick sheetmetal)

As far as the preventing rusty seams, I use this spray can stuff called "Corrosion Block" from a Marine Supply store. bottle says: "penetrates corrosion cells,emulsifies the moisture,separates it from the metal, and stops electro-activity. Leaves ultra thin atmospheric barrier to protect the metal from further damage"

I spray it on the rusty areas after it rains (once my van is dry again) Its nice and thin so it seeps into the hard to reach areas. A year ago I hit the seam behind the sink/fridge and it stopped the rust.
