For those looking for a more affordable option, don't forget my $69
Bus/Vanagon awning. This uses a pole-in-the-raingutter attachment method
just like a side tent, so it requires no modification of the van at all.
No, it's not in the same class as the fancy $300-$600 awnings Mike listed
above, but it's functional and inexpensive.
