I did not realize that LPS-1 was so poorly promoted. Here is what I replied to someone else:

It is a lubricant similar to WD-40. To devotees of the stuff, such as myself, it is superior to WD-40. I don't know what makes it better. Perhaps because it is found mostly in industrial supply houses and other such places where the clientele wear Carhartts and thick boots. Also, it is available in gallon containers.
