Just figure out the window mechanism on the '82 diesel westy I just bought (it wouldn't roll up or down) and got it working again, but I can see the little plastic thingy that rides on the spiral cable and pushes the window up and down is pretty marginal. It had popped out of place, and although I got it back in and it's working for now, I'm thinking that it will probably come out again, sooner or later. So what the fix for that? Can you get just the plastic thingy or do you have to buy the whole cable? I couldn't see how to get the plastic off of the cable, although I didn't pull the whole assembly out.
