now i have to go grovel to the dealership for a replacement lug and nut set. *Cringe* anyone know how much they would charge, and if anyone has these bits cheaper? i'm not terribly enthusiastic about getting cornholed by the dealer. i would kinda like to replace the old ones with new, chrome or brass ones. turned the blasted nut so hard trying to get it off that i twisted the nut. walmart stuck the wheels back on with teh uber-strong tools after fitting them with my new tires. additionally, does anyone know how to un--stuck teh nut without destroying it? there are some that are stuck like that on the other wheels. didn't bend them up yet, though. had to cut through the first one to get it off 'cos i twisted it up too much. yes my lug wrench fit snugly onto the nut, and still it tore it up. 'twas stuck uber-double-extra-tight.
i have a replacement nut, but it won't tighten too well, the lug spins because the teeth that hold it died. and the hole for the lug with the stuck nut is kinda rough now, any suggestions as how to smooth it out? the vana-heap just likes to give me fits, i guess. ===== "Puritanism: The haunting fear that someone, somewhere, may be happy.
