I once saw a mechanic pouring straight water from a Coke © bottle directly into the carburator a running big block Dodge © engine to clean out the jets, etc. He swore it worked far better than any commercial spray. He would warm the engine well, then, racing the engine, pour a considerable stream of water down the throat to the point of almost stalling the engine, race it again and do it again. He probably would pour 2 - 12 oz bottles trough the engine and it did seem to improve idle and acceleration. So who is going to figure out how to BURN water in our beloved (here is the required content) Vanagons? Alias Fred aka Bleu Schtroumpf |
