I believe it is the same block. However, before considering this conversion I would think it through very carefully.

Recently I saw another G60 Westy. I think the guy said he paid $18K for it! OUCH! I was feeling great pain as my friend and I looked at it. There are a couple of things that really stick out in my mind. First, because of it's size and accessories (i.e. supercharger) it had to be installed at quite an extreme angle. This just didn't seem like a good idea for the already fragile supercharger. Lubricating oil for the G60 is very important. Unfortunately because the engine was clocked pretty far to the side, the oil supply and drain ports' orientation was changed by an extreme amount. In other words, you need the oil to come in at the top and drain from the bottom. In the arrangement I saw it was anything but this. A tip for the uninitiated: G60 service and repair is SUPER expensive. Used 'chargers in decent condition are just about impossible to find.

The other problem area I remember was the intercooler. On the G60 motor the intercooler is pretty important. There just isn't a good place to put the intercooler in this installation.

Maybe it can be done, but doing it right won't be easy. Unfortunately, when working with a G60 motor, mistakes are expensive.
