Just received a brand new rear view mirror for the passenger side door from
VW, courtesy of a vandalism claim last year.  The nut seems really tight on
it - do I need to loosen it before I install it or is this what they're
really like when new?  I'd hate to break the nut off by accident.

Off to Vancouver and down to San Francisco this Saturday.  If you see a
white Westfalia from Manitoba with just a bit of seam rust be sure to say
hi.
