Hi everyone,

I do think I will do this job myself. I mentioned what the mechanic was going to do for $1K, but I'm not sure I included all he said the van was in need of. The mechanic is very reputable on the Eastside of Seattle. I do have lots of good tools and the Bentley and Idiot books, and others.

My problem is getting a place where, over the course of 1, 2 or 3 days I can do this job here in Seattle. Does anyone know a place, a garage, where you can pay a fee to do work on a car (like in the movie "Christine" [worth seeing, by the way; Steven King's first work.])? Where I live, on the Eastside of Seattle, I cannot do the work.

Or, if there is some nice person on the Westfalia list here in Seattle with some room, where I can pay you a some fee [$50, $75?] to let me do the work at your place where you have enough room for a job like this :-).

Thanks everyone, Phil '80 Westfalia.
