There should be a 12v DC outlet on the side of the passenger side seat pedestal (the side facing the driver's seat). Of course I think this pulls power from your main battery. If you want to do something on the second battery I would buy one of those three DC outlet units from Auto Zone, etc. and wire this directly to the 2nd Battery. That way you can get a 350 watt inverter from Wal-Mart for around $50 and plug that in along with your Coleman 12V cooler, and still have an outlet left over for your portable 12v air compressor (hey that sounds just like my van). One word of advice. When you buy the 3 outlet adapter from Auto Zone don't forget to pick up a fuse holder with fuse and splice this in on the positive side. I didn't do this initially and it worked fine until one day the wires got pinched under the seat. Let's just say I still get the smell of burned wires whenever I open my battery box:(

I have a 1985 Wolfsburg Edition with the dual batteries but no sink or stove. The ice box was missing when I bought the vehicle.

I would like to use the second battery for an inverter to run my laptop, but I don't want to hook up the inverter directly to the battery with the clamps. I can't find out where the ice box was supposed to hook up. Any suggestions on how/where to hook up the inverter to the second battery?

Thanks

Tim
