Hi List,

We've been blessed with a new arrival - a 1990 doublecab!!!! <SNIP>

The importation from Canada was relatively easy using a registered importer and the (temporary) use or the MPH speedo from my Multivan. Also screw VW and their @#$%& certificate of conformity-it's not needed!

Anyone needing information on how to import, pmail me. <SNIP>

John -

Would you mind posting a note to the list about how this worked? The question comes up fairly often, and if you put your procedure on the general list with a title like 'Importing from Canada', it's available for anyone to find in the archives.

Besides, I still have dreams of driving through some small town in central BC and spotting a single or double-cab for sale at a good price. If so, it would be nice to know what to do!
