Well, the thing with the drivers seat is that it seems to move forward okay, but that's just on the tracks on the black swivel plate. And it's the bottom of the swivel plate itself that covers the trapdoor. Now, on the passenger side, all I have to do is swivel the seat around as Jay said, and the door is uncovered on that side, but the drivers side can't swivel all the way around because it hits the steering wheel. You'd think they black swivel plate would slide forward on the stock seat tracks built into the floor, but so far I don't see any mechanism for that. Also, those compartments don't seem nearly big enough to take a normal sized battery, at least on the passenger side it's only about 7"Hx6"Wx12"L. I suppose I could put a small battery under the drivers seat (even if I have to unbolt the thing) then a bigger one in the engine compartment next to the starter battery. There's a *lot* of room there -- the starter battery could slide over under the deck easily with a bit longer cables, and then almost a full=sized deep cycle will fit in the regular battery tray. Unfortunately the deepcycle I have is too tall unless I cut the posts off and put a piece of rubber over it to insulate it from the engine cover.
