Subject: Stone Guards
Content-Type: text/plain; format=flowed

I installed the Bus Depot stone guards (mud-flaps) on my Westy. They look good, are sturdy and stable and are close to the back of the wheel so I think they will do their job. Some installation tips if you're interested: the clips that come with the kit, that are supposed to hold the curved edge of the flap against the curved edge of the wheel well, don't! I drilled thru the flap and the wheel well and installed a small sheet metal screw with washer. I sprayed all the metal stuff (including drilled holes) I used with rust proof primer, front and back. There isn't enough of a lip on the back of the fender, inside the well, for the clip to grasp.
