Hey everyone... Finally getting around to fixing the small details on my '91 Westy that I got in April. The windshield washer fluid squirter does not squirt fluid. My mechanic thinks it's the washer relay and not the pump. He bases this on the fact that when you pull the lever to spray the fluid, the wipers do not activiate as they should. He says if it was the pump, the wipers would still swish. What do you all think? Sound diagnositics? Any other way to isolate where the breakdown is? Has anyone fixed this problem, and if so, what did it entail? Something a non-car person can tackle with a manual and a tool box? And is this an expensive part? Thanks! Dawn Seattle, WA |
