Subject:   Is it the fuel pump?
Content-Type:   text/plain; charset=us-ascii

hola amigos,

My '89 syncro camper and I were driving one night when:

1) We incurred two offroad hits to the underplating 2) There were heavy rains 3) The engine then bogged down and completely shut down 4) I could start it fine, but after 30 seconds it would die 5) RI rplaced the record holding dirty fuel filter 6) The engine then bogged down and died after 1 minute 7) A gent with a tool kit adjusted the distributor and the flat adjustment screw right there, and I was able to get home. He said the fuel pump had no pressure.

I stopped driving it, until I get this resolved. It runs terrible warming up and is set to idle at 1200 rpm, at which speed its able to smooth out (somewhat).

Any ideas?

Gracias, Ron
