While disassembling an engine I noted that the last shade tree mechanic in there had used lock tite on every bolt. I'm nor disagreeing his use of lock tite on the case bolts but I could see that he also used it on the Rod Cap nuts as well. The Question: Does LOCKTITE hold up to the high temperatures inside an engine and provide extra holding power on something like the Rod Cap nuts?
