Somehow the Scirocco list started talking about four wheel drive and someone said that VW never made a road legal 4x4 (yeah, the syncro was mentioned and dismissed as a toy) Anyone care to defend the syncro? Send any replies to me and I will pass them on. (I know it doesn't compare to a Unimog or Pinz, but I'm sure its a lot better than he seems to think) Bill --------------- > Actually, the Vanagon Syncro is one of the most capable off road vehicles ever made. > > Bill I find that extemely hard to believe. I'd love to see some pics of a Vanagon Syncro rock crawling...ha! When I say off road, I mean serious off road, not in the SUV sense (ie, a rough dirt road). Think of the world of 31 inch tires, 5 inches of lift or more, etc. I'm sorry, a Vanagon was never designed for the rigors of true offroading. Now, if your statement was talking about Unimogs, I'd have to agree...but a Vanagon? HEHEHEHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA |
