There definitely is a rear wheel alignment adjustment, at least on my '86. The Bentley manual describes it. I took it once to a local shop. They had no idea, but when I showed them the manual they were able to do with regular tools. Now whether we had the right specification, that is another issue all together!!! Kerry kstanley@cas.org '86 syncro, not being driven much right now -----Original Message----- From: Michael Blackburn [mailto:blackburn@codenet.net] Sent: Wednesday, July 24, 2002 1:44 PM To: vanagon@gerry.vanagon.com Subject: Syncro Alignment
Does anyone know how to tell if a syncro has the option for rear wheeel allignment (ie tow adjustment). People have been telling me that some syncros have the option for rear whell and some don't. I asked the dealer if there was a model year difference or anything. He just got mad and said he can't tell without looking at it. Another alignment guy said that there might be a special tool needed to adjust the rear alignment if there was one. Michael Blackburn |
