Subject: Swaping Manual Transmision Fluid?
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hi folks, I've been thinking about switching the manual transmission fluid to Redline in my 88 Gl. 112,000 miles, and the stuff's never been touched (from PO's service records). It's in the interest of making the most of what's there I guess- it shifts pretty well, though reverse is a little weird at times. Opinions? Also, been looking at the Bentley and can't see a way to drain what's there without removing the trans itself- or maybe turning the van upside down. Any simple DIY? The van is a daily driver, and I'm looking to spend weekend hours vs. weeks in a shop. -Matt Sutton
