Actually, an 1/8" pipe plug threads in quite nicely. This is probably the same thread as is used on the oil pressure switches? Would be a good spot to monitor coolant system pressure.....mmmm

These bleeder plugs are doomed to failure and their frequently required use does not make the situation any better. The best remedy which I have been able to devise is to make a plug of SS with a needle bleed valve in it to replace that failure-prone piece of dreck VW installs.
