My choice would be to use the Bus Depot universal $40
fuel pump for any 12-volt Type I thru IV for '67-'74.
If this pump can hang with a dual-carbed '72-'74 bus,
it should be fine with your 1-carbed 2000cc. DON'T use
the '75-'91 FI fuel pump. Your carb and your wallet
will both thank you.

What carb are you using? How did you manage to use one
of them?
