Subject: More headlight problems
Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-ascii

Hi Volks,

Ok, I checked all the fuses first and yes, the #9 was fried (hi beam fuse). I replaced that and the headlights still didnt work. Soooo I checked the grounds, and they all seem ok - cleaned em up and all... No lights. Soooo, I replaced the headlight switch with a new one... No headlights.

Again - the running lights go on and the dash lights work. The hi beams don't work either. When I turn the headlights 'on' the high beam indicator comes on and I can't turn it off... So I remembered about a month ago I flicked the high beams off and my headlights went out (on a mtn road!). Many wild flicks later they came back on.

Could the high beam connections in the steering column have something to do with the headlights not working?

I took that sucker apart last night and managed to loose the tiny spring in the mechanism, so Im screwed at the moment, but wondering if Im on the right track and what else I can do. Need these lights as vacation comming up thursday!!!

Thanks list,

Jeff
