Subject: 82 50degree conversion cooling issue
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

The old two-hose-and-an-overflow deisel coolant bottle in my '82 sprang a leak, so with a brass plumbing fitting I replaced it with a jetta one-hose-and-an-overflow coolant bottle. Runs cool....but after an hour or so of running, when the engine is turned off, there is serious boil over......I'm thinking the pressure cap is nogood, but I have a sneaking feeling there is a flow restrictor or something in the jetta set up. Any experience on this amongst listees?

Thanks all Bill M 82 jetta conv
