Subject: Amplified Subwoofer question
Content-type: text/plain; charset="US-ASCII"

Hey Folks,

I wanted to ask your opinions on amplified sub woofers. I am prepared to buy on for my 1986 Westy, and have narrowed it down to 2 choices. It has to be amplified (for it to be driven). I'd like it to be mobile so I can remove it easily if need be. I have 2 locations I'd like it to go.

1. Behind the drivers seat between the drivers and rear facing jump seat (the 6" or 8" Bazooka fits here nicely)

2. Under the drivers seat potentially. The Clarion is flat, tho I don't know it's dimensions and whether or not it will fit. It too can always go behind the seat too if need be.

Anyhow, I know very little about woofers. Would anyone have any experience with the two I have linked below? Opinions? Thoughts? Suggestions?

Bazooka http://www.sasbazooka.com/productAutoAmplifiedBTs.asp

I'm on a low budget, so either of these will do, with the least amount of hassle. No separate amp, no complicated installations. Each will be right above my aux battery, so wiring 12v will be a snap. Then all I need to do, is wire it to my new Rockford Fosgate 9000 CD/MP3 deck.

I'd love to hear more thoughts, or experiences with either model if anyone has used them before. Feel free to email me directly if you like.

Thanks in advance!

dave-o :)
