Jeff,

I would recommend that you go ahead and use the relays. Although the switch should not have any problem with the 55/60 configuration, I'll bet you or some future owner will be tempted to install brighter bulbs. Don't tempt fate. Go ahead and install the relays. After all, since this will be for "off-road use only," [wink, wink], you might as well put in the 130w flame throwers.
