Subject: Are Eurovan replacing Vanagons? - trip sightings
Content-Type: text/plain

I just went to Maine and stayed in a nice 40 site campground on the ocean. (P=mail for details if interested) After I arrived, I noticed that there was another Vanagon Westy. The the next day a Eurovan Camper from Canada. Then the next day that one left and another Eurovan camper from Mass. came in. It left and one form Canada came in! That's a;lot for 40 site place!

A bay window camper showed up. Heck in 4 nights, there were 6 VW campers that came thorugh, including mine!

At the Wooden Boat show, I saw another Vanagon Westy and Eurovan with a awning (no pop-top) One the way home, I saw an Air cooled Vanagon Westy (big wave) and then two Eurovans (one with pop-top) at L.L. Bean.

Anyway - in North East at least, it seems like Eurovans are more common than Vanagons!

I guess between rust, dropped valve seat and coolant leaks it is bound to happen.

John 81 Westy - holding on
