I did this in the spring on my '87, and did NOT drop the tank, and left the wheels on (just jacked up the side that I was working on so I could get my hand in there). It was pretty simple. One tip I got from a list member was very valuable though. Tie a string to the broken line before you pull it out, then tie that string to the new line, and you can pull it back through quite nicely.

I have been tying strings to everything I remove now... antennas, wires, etc... great time saver!
