Anywhere far back is likely to be a nice low-pressure area, and a slong as the front inlet is around the stagnation point you shouldn't have much problem getting a decent flow-rate, provided the cross-section areas of inlet and exhaust are sufficient. All round a far better solution than air-conn when moving and about a million times better environmentally - air-conn, dish-washers, washing machines and tumble driers are really (like really!) bad for the environment, 'cos its not just yours, its thousands upon thousands of others - just (off subject) thought.

By the way . . . Did VW or anyone else for that matter ever devise a way to get air to blow through the entire van short of air conditioning? I.E. was there ever anything made to make the back window pop of an inch or so? I suppose I could cut the roof and put in some kind of skylight back there but that sounds kind of cheesy. Mark Thoma
