Subject: '85 Westy City Water weirdness
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Actually I am not entirely sure this is weird...as I have never used my city water hookup before. I just replaced the cooked pump in the water tank and it seems to work fine. However, after hooking up the hose to the city water inlet and turning it(only the hose pressure) on I hear a loud humming noise. It squeals a little when I turn the faucet to "c"...water comes out fine (very fast, though)...When I backed off of the pressure from the hose the noise stayed (thinking I was putting too much pressure into the inlet)...no leaks under cabinet...I was wondering if it was normal to hear this annoying noise all the time while hooked up to city water. I woukd think it should be just quiet since there is no pump being used.

TIA, Tracey
