Thanks very much, no problem understanding your English. ... this is all valuable information - a good compendium of T3 related data, especially the hints and tips and new supply of parts opening up... a decoupler is high on the list! Will credit the gearbox ratio/codes to you of course if Club80-90 use it.

Yes, we have not got all our details correct yet, will try and do better as time goes on!

I think you men: http://www.club80-90.co.uk ??? I know this site. Btw: The T3 2WD was produced in Graz from April 1990 on to November 1992. There were all T3 modells produced, not only fully loaded modells as you write at your page.

My hobby is the VW Bus, especially the T3 and syncro. I had four Busses since 1982 and repaired all on this cars by myself. Even syncro transmission. I live in Graz and visited the Steyr Daimler Puch factory some times. So I know some very helpful people there. One time the project manager of the syncro development gave me the key of a prototype and said: `Drive so long you want and bring me back the key when you are back...` It was a red Crewcab 16 and had all features which where available.

I am collecting all I can get about The Bus. For example I have a collection of all T3 brochures, even from USA and South Africa. Or Road tests, Repair manuals (from VW), Videos, dealer handbook, some drawings from the factory about the manual engaged 4WD and South african oil splash plates (take a look at this pages: http://www.vollstoff.de/VW_Typ2_T3/SA/SA_Getriebe/sa_getriebe.html) And microfiches even from USA and South Africa and had contact to the manager of VW Microbus factory in Uitenhage.

I´m collecting rare optional features from the Bus too. Like the manual engaged 4WD, which I have from a prototype (only 20 were built from this). Some noises at low revolutions are normaly because the productional tolerance (I hope this is the correct word for it).

I think its the same problem as it was on mine. The idle stabilisation vent (clean with carb cleaner and then WD 40) or blackbox near the right taillight. In the blackbox the transistor and voltage stabilisation unit is bad at much cars. You can change it for chep money from the electronic shop and a soldering iron.
