Subject: Wierd wiring (was running rich)
Content-Type: TEXT/PLAIN; charset=US-ASCII

Well, my van was running rich. Many thanks to those who made suggestions (Joel, mark, david, micheal and others).

I started playing around with the van this afternoon and starting thinking about some of the suggestions made and I pulled the ecu and started testing voltages from the ecu connector. The AFM pins read zero when I was supposed to get something. I took the connector off the AFM and a while later finally looked at the connector and one of the pins in the connector that are to connect to the AFM was pushed into the connector. (I'm not describing this too well, sorry.)

In any case, the point is that the connector was not connecting to the AFM (or at least it was a sketchy connection). Wasn't too sure how to fix it, but I had a spare wiring harness that I hooked up and now my van seems to be running normally. It is still making some bad noises, but the rich running is now gone. I can hardly believe it.

Pretty wierd. Not too sure how that connector got messed up.

Now to fix the other problems...........
