If you had all the money in the world, I'd say sell the Vanagon and go for
the unknown (the bus) and fix it up to fulfill your dream.  It won't be the
Vanagon but you really don't want it to be.  If money is a factor, (as it is
with most of us "peasants") keep the known entity (the Vanagon) or this
adventurous part of your life could be a dream deferred for quite awhile.

Actually, if you had all the money in the world, do both!
