Easiest DIY way is with fluorescent dye.
Recharge with appropriate amount of R12 or r134 and add some of the leak
detection dye. Then get out your black light. You'll see it.

If you can take it to an AC place, they can use a sniffer to find the
leak. CFC molecules are really easy to detect down to 1 ppm.

Does any one have enough experience tracking down Vanagon AC leaks to
lend some info on the more common places for these to occur. I need to
track mine down. Vacuum test showed slow leak.
