Still comes down to: Why would anyone want four or five of the same vehicle in their driveway ? Unless each had some particular feature that made it a very desirable car to own its just a futile investment in not-so-popular, never to be collectable cars that you can't even get full coverage insurance on in most cases. It doesn't matter if they are air or water or diesel, unless it has some special features like a Westy its just not going to appreciate in value. I'll just bet the guy that abandoned his Chevys and Fords and Oldsmobiles on the highway doesn't have four more at home just like it. There isn't any shortage of Bays, Vanagons, Syncro, Westy, I can always find 300 for sale on the Internet but I'm not motivated and most people aren't motivated to fill their driveways with them.
