--> I wouldn't carry full coverage insurance on any car that old. There's no point! Blue book on an '83 Vanagon is about $1800. If anything happens to it the insurance company will just total it and give you an amount of money smaller than what you've paid out to them in extra premiums. Carry the minimum your state requires and self-insure for replacement cost by putting the money in your bank account instead of in your insurance company's pocket. You'll save money in the long run.
