Yea, yea, yea. When I was at Moab those Jeep guys were bashing my SyncroMog all over the air waves on their CB's. Saying they were going to have to wait forever for me to be towed up and over a 5ft rock. I popped right up over it with my 185K ORIGINAL WBX barely spinning a tire. Their BUILT UP 350 Chevy's still could not help them as they struggled for minutes trying to climb the same rock. I beat my VW hard for 5 days on 4 and 4+ trails and had no major breakdowns. Oh yea my gas pedal came undone as the linkage was worn out after 185K miles. It cost me an outrageous $10 for parts and a half an hour of my time to fix. On the sixth day I blew out the #1 spark plug driving back from and easy day out in Canyon Lands. That took another 20 minutes to fix. Meanwhile the Jeeps were replacing, drivelines, axles and transfer cases on a daily basis. The ones that didn't roll anyway........

For a pic see the August 2002 issue of Four Wheel Drive and Sport Utility magazine.
