Not too likely. I would suspect the Hall sender circuit or the ignition controller inside the ECU (2.1l, right?) You're getting extra ignition pulses, either the driver is going nuts or the distributor is telling lies. I suppose it's conceivable that it's the coil, but I'm having trouble conceiving it. <g>

Yeah, the false ignition pulses are telling everybody that the engine is running faster than it is -- including the buzzer circuit.
