i concur. lots of deep, gut rattling bass is good
i listen to music on my ridiculous exscuse (sp???) of
a pc (pentium mmx 266) with big earmuff type
headphones and a plugin for winamp called 'dee' that
has bass ehancement (treble and mid too, but i like
lots of bass).
there are some things that you just don't hear at all
with out good low frequency representation.
boom boom indeed. :)
of course you have to promise that you'll play
something other than rap music. god i hate rap music.
although, classical music sounds really really good
with lotsa bass. and as you have witnessed to, so does
jazz.
next time you get the chance put your radio on a
classical music station and listen. you'll hear a lot
more with the expanded range.
