Folks, I now have two extra 2.1l WBX engines with no homes. If someone wants to buy one that's fine, send me an email for details. However, I'm assuming I'll do better to pop it into a Vanagon & sell it complete & running. So, I'm looking for an '83.5 -> '91 Vanagon with manual tranny but with a useless or missing engine. It can't be a junker - the tranny & body must be in decent or good shape. 2WD fine, unless you've got a Syncro that you're selling *really* cheap. I'll use a towing service to bring it home, so it must be w/in ~120 miles of Portland, Oregon. Email me with what you have, and what you want for it. (Pictures help.) Can do trade+cash for either of my 2 vehicles below. I'M SELLING: 1. My 1997 TDI Passat - Turbo Diesel, 74K, near-pristine: excellent maintenance (incl. expensive 60K svc interval), running pure synthetic, and has every imaginable option/upgrade on it. I'm first owner & planned to make it live forever. $12K OBO. 2. I'm 2-3 weeks from finishing total rehab on my 1982 Westy I4 (1.8l conversion from diesel) with nearly all suspension components replaced, e.g. all 4 ball joints, newer bushings, seals, rebuilt brakes, new head gasket, muffler, etc. etc. (its been my project van). Newer red paint w/brown interior. $4K
Thanks, David Jaffe 1991 Syncro Adventurewagen "Waldorf" 1982 Diesel -> I4 Westy 1997 Passat TDI Portland, Oregon |
