Hi Ken, You're dead right about long term, solid particulate build-up, especially from the use of regular coolant. However what about the regular changing of Phosphate-free coolant? Pulling the radiator is not something the regular Vanagon owner can do as maintenance every two years. Do we have a procedure for the "typical" Vanagon owner to change just the liquid content on the Vanagon cooling system? For example fasteners can easilsy seize & break when removing the push rod tube shields to access the cylinder block drain plugs. Also if the radiator requires a simple draining, the spare tire & s/t carrier must be removed to access the lower radiator hoses. How do we advise the Vanagon group to flush the system?????????????????? Regards, John
