A good article on how to upgrade your wiring... http://lighting.mbz.org/tech/how_to/relays/ Ken M. 87GL Toronto, ON -----Original Message----- From: Rodney Woten [mailto:rodney.woten@LENNOXIND.COM] Sent: Wednesday, August 07, 2002 11:35 AM To: vanagon@GERRY.VANAGON.COM Subject: Headlight rewiring
Morning everyone, Got a question for those of you who have run heavier gauge wire to your headlights. What do you do once you get it to the headlight...how do you connect it? Doesn't splicing the new wire into the existing, smaller gauge, wires at the plug, defeating the purpose??? If I could get to the terminals inside the plug, I'd rewire it also. However, the back of the plug where the wires enter is encased in epoxy. Is it possible to buy a plug that I can wire myself with the heavier gauge wire?? Just looking for some ideas.
