Okay, so after my AC got switched over to R134 at the dealer, I drove it home...and the alternator idiot light came on. Sigh. So I take a look at the charge at the battery. Good power coming from the Alt. Short story version --- After going through the Bentley's diagnosis tree, I have a ground short to the idiot light causing it to light when it shouldn't. Everything else seems find. Rev the engine and the light DOES get brighter (otherwise it is at half dimness). Anybody been through this before? Got any ideas where I should look for the short? (I pull the instrument cluster and fuse box and checked both of those already.) |
