Am I to understand that Kevin is making light of the air you or your
kids breathe.
Maybe in his area of the country they don't have 80+ code orange ozone
days a year. Maybe Kevin doesn't have kids who he wants to grow up
without repository allergies, asthma, or bronchitis.
Maybe Kevin doesn't know what it is like to go for a 3 mile run and feel
like shit afterward because the air is crap.
Whatever, Kevin.
If you are trying to imply that being concerned about the environment we
all share is trivial, I'll let you stew in your own pudding.
I'll err on the side of caution, and so I'll spend an extra buck or two
to take the train rather than drive. I'll replace that catalytic
converter when it fails. I'll walk to the grocer, the doctor, the
barber, and work at home rather than commuting.
I wasn't asking for the moon; our Vanagons aren't the most efficient in
the world but with a little technology, they can at least be clean. Just
a little common decency for our fellow travelers.
Whatever, Kevin, make snide comments and feel smug in your ozone world.
Pax--

Hey G. Mathew....
With a comment like that I really hope you weigh up
every trip you make to the store, around town etc...so
as not to burn precious fossil fuels and pollute the
air...not to mention your 2nd car should be a electric
hybrid...is it???
