I'm of the "Why lock it" school. Thieves are looking for electronics etc. - high value small package. So what do I keep in my cabinets? food, maps, books, cooking pots & pans, cloths (often dirty) etc. So if I lock it up all up, the thief will break it open, rummage through the stuff and then leave it all there. Also locks 'advertise' "valuable stuff behind here". Why not give them a good look at the stuff with-OUT ruining the cabinets.
