Mine did this too, and I changed out the AFM and it has run like a champ since. I however also changed all ground at that time (highly recommended) and the Idle stabilisor unit, and control box too... so I cannot really be 100% certain. But concensus would show that this is pretty standard for the well known (and very well documented in the archives) "vanagon Syndrome". Good Luck! RSF IMPORTANT!!!
