Subject: new half axle
Content-Type: text/plain; charset="iso-8859-1"

Because the boot on a new axle was under warrenty, the axle was again replace. Now I have this noise which appears to be the axle. There is no play in the shaft. The noise appear to be from road vibration or something like that. The noise is more like the axle moving horizonatlly and hitting a limit. The noise is like tapping a hollow pipe that is soft metal (like a noise hitting an aluminum pipe with a dead blow hammer for lack of a better term describing the noise). Is this typical of some axles until they break in a little?

William
