snipped ------- Got a question for those of you who have run heavier gauge wire to your headlights. What do you do once you get it to the headlight...how do you connect it? --------- end snipped

There is a great BOSCH part which is made specifically for this purpose.

It is a brown/black plastic disk square thingie, about the size of an Oreo Cookie. On the face of it are the 3 slots which coorespond to the H4 bulbs' connectors.

On the sides there are 3 spring loaded (good strong springs) for thick wires to be clipped into. Using this there is no voltage drop or resistance to speak of... they cost like 5 bucks if I remember correctly.

I will be taking my grill off in the next few days to see if there is any more air in the coolant system... When I do, I'll pull a light, and get the part number if anyone is interested (I can also shoot a digital photo or two, as I wired mine up with really fat, pretty red & black cables!)

Have Fun!

RSF

PS. I will second the posting about removing the dark sunglasses... Once you go E-Code H4 lamps, you will have "seen the light" so to speak (and will never be able to go back)!

IMPORTANT!!! In order to reply to me, you must have the word "FISH" somewhere in the subject line of the email. Otherwise it goes directly in the trash.
