Subject:      Alternator idiot light reprise/update

I asked late last week about the idiot light and where I should look for a
possible ground short. As it turns out, the only idiot was the one between
the steering wheel and the seat. :)

The idiot light was correct, the alternator was dying. I replaced the
alternator on Monday night and all is well again.

Please note - During the past 17 years of operation, several gigabytes of Vanagon mail messages have been archived. Searching the entire collection will take up to five minutes to complete. Please be patient!
