OK, I agree that the heater loop by-passes the thermostat and may flush the engine and heater loop(s). BUT!!! the cold water shuts off the thermostat so most of the coolant in the radiator and ALL of the coolant in the long return hose (from radiator to thermostat) will NOT get flushed. So how does this "Tee" method flush the long return hose from the radiator to the thermostat???? Again, I suggest removing the thermostat and then flushing, as an alternate to the (lengthy) Bentley method. Please set me straight. Malcolm
